Recommended Skin doctor for my Babies in Singapore

    Hello all!

As what the title says, I am looking for recommendation for Skin doctor for my baby here in Singapore. My baby is experiencing some skin red dots and itchiness. I suspect its eczema but since not so sure, I plan to visit a skin specialist for babies and since we are just new here in Singapore, I don't know who's the best. Can mommies here help get a good one? I will appreciate your replies. Thanks.

Hello Welcome to Singapore! where you from by the way??? Did you put any cream on the affected area? better not to put anything unless prescribed by a doctor or medical expert. My baby used to have skin redness and itchiness, I put skin cream on it without prescription by dr. It worsen the itchiness according to Dr. Lynn Chiam in Mount E Novena its best that I consult dr first before making any move. It was just a simple skin allergy but it gets worst.

I would like to recommend Dr Lynn. She's the one helped my child recover from skin problem. if you are interested for her contact details, you can pm me so that I can give it to you.

I suggest you to go to National Skin Center. There are many good skin doctors there where you can choose from. forgive me if I can't recall the dr whom used to be my child dr. I was a long long time ago. its been 4 years past. but I'm sure NSC have many competent dr.

Hello! I think its best if you'll ask for recommendation from your child paed. They know who are those good ones. And since you did not bring your child to see a skin specialist, I suggest you should not give your baby food that can cause allergy like egg whites,Citrus fruits,Tomatoes,Yeast,Wheat,Berries,Nuts,Chocolate s,Shellfish,

Best to give foods like the Carrots,Squash,Pears,Apricots,Apple,Peaches,Barley ,Oats,Rice,Plums because they are least allergens.

Yes you can avail subsidy if you will go to poly clinic and ask for referral. But I am not sure how much will be the discounts as I did not tried it because It was late when I found out that I can get discount if I went to polyclinic before going to skin center. Just go to polyclinic and ask for assistance on what are the steps you need to do to avail government subsidy.

Yeah you are right skin care centers often long waiting time. i don't know if booking and appointment over the phone is possible because I never tried. The only thing I'm certain is the waiting time. it is best if you'll get to the clinic earlier. I forgot the exact amount but i think its more or less $100 including the treatment creams.
