Highly recommended: Dr. Han How Chuan (KKH)

    Hello MTBs,

My husband did the gynae reservation for me because i was down with morning sickness last week. Since we are not familiar with gynaes at KKH, we were being referred to Dr. Han How Chuan. We trusted that they are giving us a wonderful gynae so we didn't ask more questions.

When we went for my first appointment, i find Dr. Han to be passionate in his field. He is a very patient doctor and very proud of his family of 7. Yes, you got it right. He's got 7 kids. Don't worry I'm shocked the first time I learned it too.

4 years after, we have 2 kids now all delivered by Dr. Han. We will still choose him if in the future we decided to go for baby #3.

What's your experience with Dr. Han?

    Hi all.
I'm in quite a dilemma right now.

Dr. Han has been my gynae since day one and so far i find him good. Very patient as a doctor.
However, I have doubts right now because he told we have to induce because my amniotic fluid is on the borderline. I did my research to understand what the borderline was about and found out that there is inconsistency in his findings.

I'm in 34 weeks now and i just went to his clinic 2 days ago. That time he found out that my amniotic fluid is around 5.9cm and ruled out that it is in the borderline so an induced labor is needed next week. The internet told me that an amniotic level of 5-25cm is still considered as okay. Does okay mean i don't need to be induced? Please help.

    Hi.
Is it okay if I ask about his rates? I'm interested to have him as my gynae.
I'm 5 weeks on the way.

Congratulations dear! I hope you will have a smooth pregnancy ahead.

Sorry though, I tried really hard to remember his rates but nothing comes into mind. I have figures but not sure if they are the right ones. So i advised you to check the KKH website and find Dr. Han's rate. I'm sure you can find it there. Hopefully.

Currently, i am trying to find a good gynae with compassion to his/her clients and one who can guide me through all the pregnancy stages. So far I am not yet pregnant but hubby and i are planning to take a step towards fertility/reproduction assistance. Sad to say that I have health problems when i was growing and having irregular cycles, thus the reason why after almost a year of being married, i'm still not pregnant.

My friends suggested i'd check out Dr. Han. It's my firs time to heard about him but i'm willing to try because my friends have high praises for him. Do you think he offers fertility assistance?

Hello Chris. Hopefully you won't get affected too much of your condition. Yes of course, Dr. Han can give you that services. However, i think it's best if you can have yourself checked to a fertility specialist because they focus on that area alone. Dr. Han is good. He is a very patient and charming doc. Best thing about him is he has a big heart and really big on giving encouragement.

I suggest that when you go for your appointment, have your hubby with you so that you will have someone to lean on when news are bad. So he would know what's being discussed also.

    Goodluck on your plans.
    I hope everything goes well.

    I love Dr. Han.
He's one of the best doctors in KKH and will have him again once baby #2 is coming.

He delivered my first baby and have been my gynae since forever. Haha. I can still remember how easily i felt comfortable around him during my first visit. He is such a charming doc. He talks fast and discuss things at great length. You can always ask him questions without feeling awkward or hesitant.

So mummies who are looking for a gynae, I highly recommend Dr. Han How Chuan!

Thank you so much girl for sharing your thoughts regarding my issues.
From what i read, i guess i should see a fertility specialist. I don't like changing gynaes in the middle because it would need a lot of adjustments again. And with my current condition i want familiar people, environment so i won't feel so down.

I also want to have a lasting experience with my chosen doctor for future problems.
I gather trying to conceive is quite frustrating and heartbreaking but i'm determined as long as my hubby will support me along the way.

Do you think Dr. Han will fit just fine as a fertility expert?

    Hi there Chris.
I understand your problem. I have been to the same boat before and successfully got pregnant through IVF procedure. The procedure was done at KKH because i find private hospitals pretty expensive. KKH has great facilities no doubt about that.
My gynae that time was Dr. Han but stopped seeing him when i was transferred to the IVF department. However, i find myself going back to him when i got pregnant.

Interested to know about how well Dr. Han stitches the incision back for natural delivery. Will i be able to move after giving birth?

I'm changing gynae because i find my current gynae too much to bear. Long story. Anybody who undergone natural birth with him?
